Andre' LeBeau` Harris Sr.
Pastor of Born Again Christian Center in East Palo Alto, since 1999. He attended Foothill and San Jose Christian Colleges. He is a community activist and an organizer in the City of East Palo Alto and throughout the State of California. He is also Founder/CEO of Project K.E.Y.S., Inc. which was created to help at risk youth, homeless and formerly incarcerated people in the communities of East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park and beyond in their plight to become wholesome and productive people. Pastor Harris is the Community Service Coordinator for the East Palo Alto parolee reentry program and along with this, Andre is a member of All of Us or None, in which he advocates for the rights of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people. He frequently organizes community events to get out the message of brother and sisterhood, education and building family.
Pastor Harris is a former Chaplin of the San Mateo County Juvenile Facility, Camp Glenwood in Lahonda, California and currently makes visits to California Youth Authority (Chad) and the Elwood Correctional Facilities, San Mateo County Jails and he frequently pays visits to San Quentin State Prison, carrying the message of change and hope. Along with his visits, members of his congregation goes into San Mateo Women's Jail to help, encourage and minister to the Ladies a message of love and a new way of life. He plays a major role in the community with the Youth and Young Adults in stopping the violence. Pastor Harris is a formerly incarcerated person himself and has a passion to help the downtrodden and outcast. He helps people get their criminal records clean with no cost to them.
Pastor Harris has been married to First Lady Minister Gloria L. Harris since October 3, 1992 and they have four children and three granddaughters.
